Spider-Man 4 Gets A Writer; Thankfully Not Raimi 2007-11-01 10:00:04 Sony is wasting no time as it readies for another installment of the Spider-man franchise. Despite a very disappointing third film this cash cow is too tempting to let go and as such Sony has purchased the rights to films four, five, and six. Kirsten Dunst has already said she doesn’t want to do the fourth one (not that she really was that enthused for the third time either). I wouldn’t be surprised to see Maguire drop out of this one either. Everything seems to be changing, and maybe for the better as even Sam Raimi won’t be writing this new film. Instead that honor will be going to James Vanderbilt who wrote the screenplay for Zodiac, The Rundown, and Darkness Falls. Darkness Falls was pretty bad, but Zodiac was great, so I’d be willing to consider returning to the webslinger, especially if Dunst is out. Biggest Brother: Book Review 2007-11-01 08:00:02 Band of Brothers is a non-fiction book by Stephen Ambrose which tells the story of Easy Company during World War II. That is, Company E of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division. This book follows the story of this fabled company from its earliest beginnings through some of the most famous battles of World War II: D-Day, Operation market garden, and Bastogne, until its final decommissioning at the end of the War. This unit consistently found itself in the forefront of the fight. Following the critical acclaim for the book and the success of their film Saving Private Ryan. Robert Goulet, 73, Dies While Awaiting Lung Transplant 2007-10-30 20:29:53 Robert Goulet, 73, died Tuesday in Los Angeles, as reported by the Associated Press: Robert Goulet, the handsome, big-voiced baritone whose Broadway debut in “Camelot” launched an award-winning stage and recording career, has died. He was 73. The singer died Tuesday morning in a Los Angeles hospital while awaiting a lung transplant, said Goulet spokesman Norm Johnson. He had been awaiting a lung transplant at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after being found last month to have a rare form of pulmonary fibrosis. Goulet had remained in good spirits even as he waited for the transplant, said Vera Goulet, his wife of 25 years. Leaving The Tonight Show in 2009 would put Leno’s duration at just 17 years, 13 less than his predecessor Johnny Carson. Based on the previews for tonight I can’t say I was convinced that he was going to pull it off. Hometown Visit #1: Jenni, Witchita, Kansas Jenni started the dance by taking Brad to the theater where she won her first dance competition and then put on a personal performance for him. Seeing how much she loved dance though Brad went back to his concern over her wanted to remain in Phoenix for another year.
