The next day we were informed by the Hewitt media spinners that she was engaged. Apparently that had happened weeks ago but seemed to be released as a distraction from the earlier mess. Tin Man Series Launches Tonight on Sci Fi Channel 2007-12-02 10:18:45 Based on L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the new Sci Fi Channel series “Tin Man” launches tonight at 9pm. All the parts and pieces from the original story that you know by heart are here, but everything has been ‘updated’ in a way. You’ve still got the Wizard of Oz, played by Richard Dreyfus, who appears to be outcast or captured in some manner. The scarecrow is back, played by Alan Cumming, but as a man looking for the other half of his brain which was removed. Dorothy, played by Zooey Deschanel, now goes by DG as she looks for the ‘brick route’. Okay, you get the point. While DragonArt is primarily focused on the aspiring young fantasy artist, it is a great book for anyone interested in learning to draw. Coming Soon: The Eye - Trailer & Details 2007-11-29 12:00:16 Okay, so Jessica Alba isn’t so much a great actress and while I certainly don’t mind her on screen I can’t really think of the last movie of hers that I went to see. Her next project with Hayden Christensen, “Awake”, looks like real crap, but I’m kinda hoping “The Eye” can be a change of pace. “The Eye” is a remake of a Japanese horror film and those have typically been pretty awesome. This project originally had Renée “lemon face” Zellweger in the lead role, but she jumped ship for another film. After that Paramount threw “The Eye” away leaving Lionsgate to dig it out of the trash and bring it back to life. So in “The Eye” you’ve got Jessica Alba as the recipient of an eye transplant which ends up showing her supernatural events all around her. While I love watching reality TV and Big Brother in particular there is no way you could get me on one of those shows. It takes a certain kind of person to be able to expose their life like that on national TV. I still found the application itself fascinating. The full application contains over 70 questions. It starts out like any job or college application. You know, name, address, phone number, employer, bra size. Yes, ladies, you need to tell them your bra size. As the application states, “And remember, above all else, you must BE HONEST!” Both men and women have to include their underwear size. Lets see McDonalds or U. of Michigan get away with putting that on their application forms!
