Drew Carey Is The Man

Comedian Drew Carey had finally confirmed to David Letterman that he will be the new host of “The Price Is Right.”
In a taping for tonight’s episode of “The Late Show,” Carey told Dave, “It’s a done deal. I’m the new host of “The Price Is Right.’”
Carey reportedly is not even sure of his starting date. I never would have pegged Drew Carey as a replacement for Bob Barker, although I am strangely comfortable with it. Basically Bob Barker can’t be replaced, but this is probably the best pick of the proposed candidates so far. I mean it was either him, the “Saved By The Bell Guy”, Roseanne Barr blimp 1 or Rosie O’Donnell blimp 2.

Rihanna Sets A Record

Rihanna’s single “Umbrella” has been sitting atop the UK charts at #1 for a whopping ten weeks. This breaks the previous record held by Wet Wet Wet for their song “Love Is All Around.”
Rihanna has claimed the longest running number 1 single for over a decade with her “Umbrella” smash hit.
The single- which features her label boss Jay Z- has now topped the charts for an astounding 10 weeks.
Typically when I hear a Rihanna song all that I picture in my head is her frolicking about naked in my bedroom. So it’s basically common sense that she has a number one song. That and the fact that she has horrible teeth….and we all know how much the Brits respect a hot girl with bad teeth.

Shanna Moakler has suffered a “devastating” break-up with her husband Travis Barker. After several attempts, made in vein, to patch the marriage, Shanna has chatted with People mag at an event at the Playboy Mansion.
“I think the demise of a marriage is like a death, and there is a mourning that goes with it. It’s devastating.”
The couple’s drama was unveiled to the world on the MTV reality series “Meet The Barkers,” and their relationship crumbled soon after. Several other celeb duos have fallen apart after an MTV stint including Britney and K-Fed, Nick and Jessica and Carmen and Dave. I guess the latest divorce comes as o surprise.

Kate Moss sex tape fears - Kate Moss is reportedly a wreck over the fact that a sex tape may soon be making its way onto the internet. The UK Sun reports that Kate Moss and Pete Doherty were very thorough about making home videos, documenting their relationship everywhere with a camcorder.
After their messy split, Kate found six of the tapes but is concerned that Pete, who is a self-confessed drug addict, could sell the missing two. A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “There are still some bits and pieces floating about of Pete with Kate. She has got rid of most of it. Six out of eight tapes have been destroyed.
“But she wanted to bury the lot before he could humiliate her by selling them or putting them on the internet.”

Britney Spears could be about to churn out yet another child. According to reports, the singer is pregnant with her third child but unfortunately for Britney, she’s not quite sure who the father is. A close source reportedly told NW magazine, the 25-year-old has been gushing to her inner circle: ‘I’m pregnant’.
The source claims: ‘She’s been secretly filling her pals in on the good news since last week.’ ‘Britney is in shock herself, this definitely wasn’t planned.’ ‘She’s thrilled just the same.’ Two would-be father’s on shortlist could be former lover and drug counsellor, John Sundahl, or according to some her bodyguard, Daimon Shippen.

Tammy Faye Messner Dies at Age 65

Evangelist Tammy Faye Messner died on Friday morning of inoperable cancer, CNN’s Larry King announced on Saturday night, after her family asked him to personally make the delayed statement. She was 65.
Messner had appeared as a guest on Larry King Live on Thursday, looking frighteningly thin, revealing that she could no longer swallow food and had dwindled down to a mere 65 lbs. “She had a very peaceful death and is no longer in pain,” Messner’s son Jay Bakker said Saturday in a statement on his Web site. “To grant her wish she was cremated today and her ashes were buried at a private ceremony.”
