Madonna’s Battle

Madonna is battling to stop explicit photographs of her from being released.
The pop superstar - who has instructed her legal team to stop a collection of private love letters and explicit images from being exposed - is said to be worried the assortment of items could harm her chances of permanently adopting her Malawi son David Banda.
Madonna - who is set to be inspected by the head of Malawi’s child welfare services to see if she can keep David - sent 17 notes and seven naked photographs of herself to her then-boyfriend James Albright in the early 90s.
The 48-year-old star, who is now married to film director Guy Ritchie, is said to be “devastated” about the items being released at such an important time.
The collection was recently sold to investment company Marquee Capital who are now hoping to make more than $100,000 from auctioning off the items.

Ali Larter is Madly in Love

Heroes star Ali Larter won’t reveal the identity of her boyfriend, but it sounds like he may be her knight in shining armor. “I’m madly in love,” the 31-year-old actress and model tells InStyle Makeover’s fall issue. “He just brought light to my life. I feel lucky every morning when I wake up and see him.”
Hopefully the mystery man likes children, because Larter sees them in her future – after her career calms down a bit.
“I’m loving this right now,” she says of acting. “But I can’t wait for that.”
Larter, who plays Niki Sanders on NBC’s Heroes, spent many years modeling before she caught the acting bug. But growing up, she was hardly the most beautiful girl on the block – more tomboy than TV star. “I had a bowl haircut,” she says. “My face was always flushed, and I had one big tooth. I was the sweaty dirty girl, and I’d come home with one sock up, one sock down.”

Nicole Richie Will Do Time at Paris Hilton’s Jail

Nicole Richie will serve her four-day jail sentence at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif. – the same jail where Paris Hilton did her time. “[Richie’s] attorney contacted us and indicated she wants to do her time there,” said Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, adding that no surrender date was given.
Whitmore couldn’t say whether Richie, who’s four months pregnant, would be housed at the facility’s medical ward. “That’s all determined by our medical staff upon her arrival,” said Whitmore. If not in the medical facility, Richie, 25, could likely be placed in a segregated unit for high-profile inmates, as Hilton initially was, and locked up for 23 hours a day.
However, the Simple Life star may benefit from an early release policy of nonviolent offenders due to L.A.’s jail overcrowding problem.

Nicole Richie was so surprised to discover that she was pregnant, it took five home pregnancy tests to convince her that she was having a baby. “It took me — it really took me a long time to really — for it to sink in,” she says. “I actually didn’t even really believe it until I heard the heartbeat.”
Richie was speaking to Diane Sawyer for an exclusive interview running in three parts, Thursday and Friday on ABC’s Good Morning America and then Friday on 20/20.
The couple, who have already started a VIDEO diary for their unborn baby, tell Sawyer they don’t want to know whether the child is a boy or a girl.

Tensions between Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag got so bad on the second season of “The Hills” that MTV has been struggling to get the girls together to promote the third season. “Lauren and Heidi refused to even be in the same room as each other,” said a Hollywood insider. “They hate each other so much. In the photos on MTV’s site for the third season, they had to Photoshop Heidi in because they wouldn’t even take a picture together.” A rep for MTV had “no comment.”

Christina Aguilera will be welcoming a girl this winter, according to In Touch Weekly. On July 25, Christina, who is about 18 weeks pregnant, had an ultrasound at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA. The powerhouse singer found out that she’s having a girl with hubby Jordan Bratman and that her due date is December 15.
Christina also recently canceled two concerts because she was ordered to bed rest on July 29 after coming down with the flu. The mom-to-be also revealed to UK’s In Style that she wants to kids to be bilingual.
Christina said, “I definitely want my children to know Spanish, that’s important. It’s something that I want to start speaking early on in the house, so I’m brushing up on my Spanish and taking out my lesson tapes on tour.”
