Celebrities often go to extremes trying to look young
2007-10-04 19:16:44
Every woman cannot but face a number of problems as she grows older e.g. cellulite, obesity, wrinkles etc. You cannot simply brush these problems aside, especially if you are a celebrity or sex symbol. In a desperate attempt to turn back the clock on aging, celebrities doctor their birth certificates, turn to plastic surgery, engage in relationships with lovers twice their age or stay out of the spotlight and paparazzi. Did any of the big-name actresses of the past succeeded in getting the upper hand in their fight against aging? Being the epitome of beauty was a real challenge back in the early and mid 20th century. The “granny’s anti-aging tips” had already become too old and rather ineffective to meet the requirements of the ever-changing world. Besides, plastic surgery was still in its embryonic state. Gala Dali, the Russian wife of the famous painter, used a plethora of methods, trying hard not to look her age. In fact, she reportedly went to extremes while mak ...

British woman suffers from orgasms every 5 minutes
2007-10-04 19:14:14
Life really can be unfair. What some people can only dream about, others get without any effort at all. Admittedly, for those lucky devils, these gifts from fate often turn out to be a genuine trial, turning from pleasure into a torture. No, our story is not another sketch on the theme “Rich people also cry”. This report will not be about money or fame, but a quite different matter. Remember how in the film ‘Vanilla Sky’ Cameron Diaz’s heroine explained to her lover, played by Tom Cruise, that “once” is good, twice is even better, three times is just incredible, but four… Four orgasms took the girl to the height of ecstasy and left her totally exhausted. And now just imagine what would have happened to her had she experienced not 4 orgasms in a single day, but 250. One every five minutes. It is just that frequently, or sometimes even more often, that young British woman Ellie Allen finds herself at the peak of pleasure. Moreover, unlik ...
Sex makes women happy
2007-10-04 19:09:26
Having sex is the high point of most women's days, while commuting is the low point. And most women like being with their kids less than they admit, says a new study. While the results may not seem startling, the method used to assess mood is a new and more accurate way of figuring out how happy people are, the researchers report in the latest issue of the journal Science. They propose that their tool could be used to plan social policy. "Current measures of wellbeing and quality of life need to be significantly improved," said Dr Richard Suzman of the National Institute on Aging, which helped fund the study. "In the future I predict that this approach will become an essential part of national surveys seeking to assess the quality of life." For the study, Professor David Schkade of the University of California, San Diego and team studied more than 900 women. Usually, people are asked about their feelings in general for questionnaires on mood. The new method, ca ...
Both lack of sleep and too much sleep can do damage to one’s health, study finds
2007-10-04 19:06:48
Researchers from the University of Warwick and University College London recently completed a study commissioned by the British Sleep Society. The study involved more than ten thousand residents of the United Kingdom. The research was aimed at finding a correlation between the average number of hours participants slept a night and the condition of their cardiovascular systems and blood vessels. The findings indicate that the risk of death from a cardiovascular problem doubles for those suffering from constant lack of sleep. A constant lack of sleep results in higher blood pressure, which increases the risk of a cardiac infarction or a stroke. Women who sleep less than five hours a night are twice as likely to develop hypertension as men whose sleep duration is the same. The findings indicate that individuals who cut their sleeping to five hours or less a night face a 1.7-fold increased risk in death from all causes. Researchers believe a lack of sleep may be also associated with the ...

10 High-Tech Car Features that are Pushing the Envelope
2007-09-28 14:31:59
Just a few years ago, a car that could show you its location on a digital map, take control if you begin to skid, or automatically maintain a set distance from a vehicle in front might have seemed like a glimpse from some far-flung future highway. But these functions are becoming increasingly commonplace in today's vehicles. What's next? How about cars that can automatically brake to a stop in traffic without the driver ever touching the brake pedal? Or ones that can parallel park themselves at the touch of a button? She breezed like a whiff of fresh air in Bollywood, flashing those glorious dimples, after conquering the Ms India pageant in 1999. Since then, this intelligent lady has made her presence felt everywhere-from anchoring, to acting in TV serial and films like Dhoop, Jurm and of course Dor, in which she won critical accolades in the role of Zeenat. Now she’s ready to don a ‘volatile facade’ for her forthcoming film, Manorama Six Feet Under. NT catches up with the pretty woman. These days Gul is quite excited about her forthcoming film. Ask her what makes it all that special and the gal enthuses, “Manorama Six Feet Under is a whodunit kind of film-a murder mystery, which is set in the backdrop of a small town. It’s an intensely woven film, which is highly believable. I play the role of Nimmia woman with mercurial twists of temper, who’s married to Abhay Deol, a PWD engineer.” While the plot sounds intriguing enough, does she really think there is ...
