Eight Healthy Hints For Better Sex
2007-11-22 17:25:21
When San Francisco-based yoga instructor Jacquie Noelle Greaux teaches poses to her sexually frustrated students in private sessions, she swears by the Sexy Secretary, Erotic Froggie and Wild Child, along with dozens of other stretches she designed to strengthen the body and “jump-start libido.” She should know how because she's done it. “I lost my libido and was very sick for a couple of years,” says Greaux, author of Better Sex Through Yoga. “I went from a thriving sex life to absolutely zero.” She eventually recovered in 2002 after battling chronic fatigue syndrome caused by the stress of working three jobs. Greaux’s recuperation plan included eliminating sugars and processed foods from her diet and a unique style of restorative yoga. Soon after, Greaux’s business partner approached her with an idea for the book and a DVD series. Greaux, who runs her business under the Better Sex Through Yoga name, says the program’s ...
How To Spice Up Your Sex Life
2007-11-20 08:02:13
Since the dawn of time, people have looked toward elixirs and potions to improve their sex lives. Why else, after all, would one consume ground tiger penis, horny goat weed and Spanish Fly? Perhaps because nearly one in five men in the U.S. suffer from erectile dysfunction, according to a recent study in the American Journal of Medicine. Some researchers have estimated that as many as 40% of U.S. women have low libido or inability to reach orgasm. Most quick fixes simply don't work, and some, like Spanish Fly, a supposed aphrodisiac derived from beetles that can cause kidney damage, are harmful. But modern medicine has found ways--both proven and experimental--to improve your sex life. Might they help make this Valentine's Day more memorable? That’s anyone’s guess. One place to start: old-fashioned remedies, which some say work best. Regular exercise can actually improve erectile function in most men, says Andrew McCullough, a urologist at New York Univers ...
Asia's Lavish Lodging
2007-11-19 10:09:38
A projected 1.5 million visitors are expected in Beijing for the 2008 Olympic Games, and luxury hotels are making sure each and every one of them will have a cozy place to lay their heads. Everywhere you look, a hotel is either being built or renovated. And most of the new ones are in the high-end luxury category. Beijing has long lagged behind in this market, offering only a handful of truly posh hotels that really meet international standards of service and amenities. The roster of new accommodations reads like a Who's Who of the hospitality industry: the Four Seasons, the Ritz-Carlton, the Mandarin Oriental and the Intercontinental, to name a few. Even the international ultra-luxury chain, Amanresorts, based in Singapore, is building a deluxe venue inside Beijing's famed Summer Palace. The project is under wraps and won't open until right before the Games start on Aug. 8, 2008. Beijing ...
The Rich And Unfaithful
2007-11-19 10:03:43
Wealth has many perks: great vacations, beautiful houses and nice cars. But if its marital bliss you're looking for, don't expect money to help. Almost half of America's rich say they're unhappy in marriage, a study found. What's worse: More than that say they've been unfaithful in the last three years. Of those confessing to an affair, more were women (61%) than men (43%). The reason cited most frequently by both sexes: variety. That's according to Prince and Associates, a Connecticut firm that tracks the habits of the rich. They asked 433 breadwinners (56% male and 44% female) with a net worth over $1 million about their relationships. Thirty-eight percent of the participants had a net worth of $10 million or more. Depending on whose data you use, statistics on infidelity for the general U.S. population have some stark contrasts. Anywhere from one-quarter to three-fourths of married men admit to having extramarital affairs, compared to a range of ...
Sex Lives Of The Super-Rich
2007-11-19 10:01:14
Ever wonder how your life would change if you suddenly became filthy rich? Well, for one thing, you'd have a better sex life. That's the finding of a new report by market research and consulting company Prince & Associates, and private wealth expert Hannah Grove. The 2006 survey released last month looked at the sexual views, behavior and experiences of just under 600 men and women, most of whom were married, an average age of 57 and with a net worth of $89 million. In Pictures: Inside The Sex Lives Of The Super-Rich The findings showed that the majority, 63% of men and 84% of women, credited their wealth with helping them achieve a better sex life. In addition, 43% of men and 80% of women said they believe their money has let them lead more daring and exciting sex lives. One-third of men and 72% of women are members of the mile-high club, having had sex while in flight; all had access to a private jet. And 54% of men and 72% of women reported having had an extramar ...

Sexy walk could be misleading message
2007-11-13 03:19:04
A woman who walks with a seductive sway of her hips is unlikely to be ovulating, a finding that sheds light on the complex sexual signals that women give to men, New Scientist reports. A team at Queen's University in Ontario, Canada, dressed female volunteers in suits which had light reflectors placed on the joints and limbs and filmed them walking in order to analyze their gait, the British weekly says. The women also gave a saliva sample to assess their hormone levels. Women who were in the fertile period of their menstrual cycle walked with smaller hip movements and with their knees closer together, the scientists found. Forty male volunteers were shown the footage of the women and were asked to rate those with the sexiest walk. The winners were those who turned out to be in the least fertile part of their cycle. The study appears to run counter to recent research that found men respond more readily towards women at ovulation. A US paper published last month found that lap danc ...
Japan slips lower in gender equality rankings
2007-11-13 03:17:12
Japan has fallen further down the global rankings of equality between women and men, with long working hours and stubborn gender stereotypes seen as to blame. Despite being the world's second-largest economy, Japan is well known for its "glass ceiling" for female workers, its male-dominated boardrooms and its long working hours which make it hard for women to balance a job and a family. Japan ranked 91st out of 128 countries in the World Economic Forum's 2007 global gender gap ranking released Thursday, the worst of the Group of Eight major industrialized powers and down sharply from 80th the previous year. Sweden came top in gender equality followed by other Nordic countries, while Pakistan, Chad and Yemen were at the bottom. The Philippines fared best out of Asian nations in sixth place. Japan ranked 94th in terms of political empowerment, with females accounting for only nine percent of lawmakers. It came 97th in economic participation and opportunity, mainly d ...
Great Ways To De-Stress After Work
2007-11-13 03:15:09
The saying, ‘Don’t take your work home’ is true when it comes to the emotions that you take from it. At least that is what most people believe. It’s true that if you are upset at someone or frustrated with the work you are doing you should leave it at work. Your home with your family is the place for you to be relaxed and where you should feel at ease. Being upset can acctually be bad for your health and heart. Plus you don’t want to take your anger out on those you love. Unfortunately some people have a hard time letting go of their frustration than others. There are many different ways to de-stress yourself before you get home and while you are at home. After leaving work while you are driving home don’t let yourself get even more angry at the traffic – but rather be thankful for it. Turn the music on to a station that you like and jam out to it. You can listen to New Age music – which can help you to clear your mind and will put a smil ...
