Temposhark: Fashionable Music 2008-02-07 10:12:37 A couple of days ago I was asked to pick songs that would go well with runway videos. I decided to go with stuff that was not only walkable but, unique and pleasing to, well, me! One of my picks was “The Beautiful People” by Marylin Mason, sure there’s nothing pretty about Mason, but the song is ironic and it has an awesome beat. Fashion Week Fix: Herve Leger 2008-02-04 20:38:54 Lately I have progressively acquired a cold. Though it hasn’t been your run of the mill stuffy nose/sneezing cold. Everyday I seem to have a new symptom as one another goes away. First was the loss of hearing (due to block sinuses?), then came the sore throat but I could hear fine, then it was the sore throat and stuffy nose combo (my fave), and today my little shape shifter has morphed into an eternally dripping nose with a hint of desperate need to cough up a lung. Swashbuckling with Vivienne Westwod 2008-01-31 10:12:28 “Find some pirate boots for me,” I was told by Blythe. Aside from the fact she had just purchased a new pair of boots, she wanted me to find the impossible. Okay, maybe not impossible, but improbable for her price range. I was instructed to find a pair of dark brown, non-slouchy boots with a small heel and a top that folds over. She pretty much wanted the boots Jack Sparrow wore in Pirates of the Caribbean (why does the anticipation of spring always make me think of pirates?) Man vs. Machine…er Model 2008-01-28 10:30:45 How exactly does one ruin a gorgeous Marchesa dress? Ask Amanda Bynes. She didn’t physically ruin the dress, at least I don’t think, but the essence of the gown definitely wasn’t there. At the SAG Awards, Miss Bynes wore a beauty of a teal, strapless Marchesa gown from the 2008 resort collection. Unfortunately for Amanda, the dress made her look like she was going to the prom. It’s the new, as in just announced today, MacBook Air. The MacBook is is the newest addition to the Apple family.
