Our favorite hero Hayden Panettiere took some time out of her busy schedule to participate in Dave Rastovich’s annual Dolphin & Whale Cove Peaceful Demonstration in Tiji, Japan on Sunday. Hayden attended the event in hopes of helping out her beloved friends of the sea.
Thousands of whales and dolphins are killed each year by Japanese fisherman at the notorious “killing cove” in Taiji, Japan.
Hayden expressed that she felt the spirit of the dolphins who had been driven into the killing cove over the last 400 years.
“We had a moment of silence for all the dolphins that had been killed here,” said Hayden Panettiere, who paddled out on behalf of Save the Whales Again. “It was highly emotional. I wished for peace and for no more pain at this beautiful yet tragic cove.”

The New York Post reports that mom-to-be Nicole Richie was recently caught smoking on two separate occasions while in New York City.
Incident #1: 3:30 p.m. Pony tail, black jeans, waistcoat. Exits DaSilvano with one young girl, one middle-age lady. On the sidewalk, after checking who’s at which outdoor tables, she lights up. They jump into a waiting black Caddy Escalade, Nicole into the front seat. Still smoking.
Incident #2: Three days later, 7:30 p.m., Nobu. She’s there with the baby in the bun’s father. They leave. Outside she lights up again.
Damn Nicole… Give your baby a chance and stop smoking! Wait, what am I saying? That baby was doomed on penetration!

Jive Records Drops Kelis

According to EW, Kelis has been dropped from Jive Records because her 2006 album “Kelis Was Here” failed to match up the “Milkshake” success of her 2003 LP “Tasty”.
Although “Kelis Was Here” featured several high-profile collaborations, including a duet with her husband Nas, it only sold around 150,000 copies in the US — making it her least successful album to date.
Kelis’ Manager Jeff Rabhan claims Jive Records didn’t “get” the singer’s music and failed to support her.
Rabhan said: “It was a case of being in the ever-shrinking world of the record industry and finding herself on a label she wasn’t signed to and without a champion. She’s a different kind of artist — very image and style-driven. It’s either something you get or you don’t.” He went on to say, “We’re not opposed to another major label deal, but it would have to be non-traditional.”
