Working a Joint Home Based Business
2007-06-08 05:00:00
Working a Joint Home Based
Business
Sometimes a home-based business is not just something a
mother does to spend time with her children. It can be an idea husband and wife develops in
order to have something that they can do together. How well they can work together
depends upon the strength of the marriage and the couple in general because some people
cannot work together and live together at the same time.
What kind of business is typically that of a couple? Men are
not typically the in-office kind of people unless they come from an executive
background. It is more likely to find a married couple working in the construction or remodeling
business with the husband doing the work while the wife handles the accounting and
paperwork end of the business.
Another business that is becoming more popular with husbands
and wives is that of operating a web building and hosting business. Quite often
what happens in that kind of business is that one of the team works ...

Problems are a Normal Part of Change

Problems are a Normal Part of Change by Denis Waitley
When asked, "How do you develop mental toughness in life?", my response might sound negative at first when I answer, "Always be prepared for a surprise. The surprise might be a negative surprise. Something is going to happen in your day, whether you are late because you got stuck behind a train or your car had a flat tire -- something is going to happen... And the key is your ability not to take mole hills and look at them as mountains."
Problems are a normal part of change. Things are changing so rapidly that there are going to be problems you face. So you must look at failure as an event, not as a person. I'm not a failure. Maybe I've had a failure or a temporary inconvenience. I've had a stumbling block, and the idea is to turn the stumbling block into a stepping stone, and step on it instead of stumble over it. So look at failure as the fertilizer of success.
Fertilizer stinks, it smells. You see that ...

The Seed

The Seed
A successful Christian business man was growing old and knew it was time to choose a successor to take over the business. Instead of choosing one of his directors or his children, he decided to do something different.
He called all the young executives in his company together. "It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO," he said. "I have decided to choose one of you."
The young executives were shocked, but the boss continued. "I am going to give each one of you a seed today - a very special seed. I want you to plant the seed, water it, and come back here one year from today with what you have grown from the seed I have given you. I will then judge the plants that you bring, and the one I choose will be the next CEO."
One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the others, received a seed.
He went home and excitedly, told his wife the story. She helped him get a pot, soil and compost and he planted the seed.
Every day, he ...

This Should Be Your First Business
2007-06-05 05:00:00
One of the first online businesses someone should attempt......is GDI. Global Domains International.
I believe that GDI is a great company for anyone from the beginner (to practice) to the mega advanced networker with the huge contact list...BECAUSE... the beginner, only has to put out $10 a month to start practicing the "Network Marketing Game" vs. the advanced, can very likely easily hit 10K per month income even within 30 days.Top four reasons I feel GDI is SOLID.1. SIMPLE and it can be duplicated. 2. Affordable for almost EVERYONE ($10 a month).3. HIGH RETENTION.4. TRAINING.
Make it a great day!

Learn to Deal in Challenges
2007-06-04 05:00:00
Motivational MondayLearn to Deal in Challenges by Jim Rohn
To really help people in extraordinary ways, learn to deal in challenges. That is what sports is all about, challenges. That is what music is all about. The challenge to play so well, someone is inspired. The challenge to say it so well someone gets it. The challenge to be so gifted in language that someone sees it. Insight is unbelievable, only human beings can do this.
The man closes his eyes and puts his hands over his eyes and says, "I see it." You say, "No, you don't, you've got your eyes closed." No. There is more than one way to see. And all someone has to do is to see an answer that they can start on immediately and within six months their life could start to multiply and change. Within one year, the difference will be extraordinary and a person who was lost now becomes a person of influence. Just because someone helped them to see for the moment what was wrong and the possibility to change it. ...

We Are But
Dust....
A visiting
minister waxed eloquent during the offertory prayer. "Dear Lord," he
began with arms extended and a rapturous look on his upturned face,
"without you we are but dust..."
He would
have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter (who was listening
carefully for a change!) leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her
shrill little girl voice, "Mom, what is butt dust?"

Taking a Closer Look At The Profit Angle

Taking a Closer Look At The Profit
Angle
Some people
engage in a certain home business out of whim. It is uncommon for people to
start a home business simply because they feel that this business is right for
them. Unfortunately, in business, gut feel may not be enough to keep you going.
More often than not, your gut feel does not really turn into reality. To really
stay in business, you need to study your profit angle closely. You need to ask
yourself ?is this business going to be profitable?? and ?how will this business
become profitable?? ?What will it take to make this business profitable?? If
you can honestly answer these questions, then, you are closer to your dreams of
making your home business a success.
Projecting future profit
To be able
to make a sound projection of profits, you will need to formulate a sound
business plan. In your business plan, you must make a realistic projection. You
must be able to identify the expenses that you will mostly incur in the course

Manage Your Home Business (So It Doesn't Manage You!)

Manage Your
Home Business (So It Doesn?t Manage You!)
The Problem of Time Management
If you
already manage a home business, then you are also probably aware of how it can
consume most of your time. Most likely, this happens against your will. After
all, there are probably many things that you want to do with your time, such as
spending time with your spouse and your children, going out with your friends,
listening to music, reading some books, or what not. And yet, the task of
managing your home business seems to take up all of your time. What can you
possibly do?
What was
described in the first paragraph is a classic example of a time management
dilemma. Millions of people, not just home business owners, feel that they are
not in complete control of their time. This tends to make people miserable,
since most people want to feel in control of their lives. After all, what is
your life but a measurement of your time? As long as you are unable to spend
your time in a manner th ...

How To
Select The Perfect Home Based Business
Today, many
people are taking advantage of the flexible work and turning to home based
businesses which means there are plenty of opportunities and options for those
who want to start a home based business. One of the first steps towards having
success with a home based business is making sure you have a good home computer
with internet access. However, after this it can be difficult to decide between
the abundant opportunities available for those starting a home based business.
It is often more a matter of finding a business that works for you since all of
the home based businesses can bring you profits as long as you work at it. So
how can you determine which home based business is best for you?
Identify
The first
step you should take is identify what you are specifically interested in doing.
While a home based business can be fun, it can also be boring if you find
yourself doing something you don?t like to do. You should then l ...

Don't
choose ANY home business until you've read this!
Hello
Serious Networkers, I'd like to thank you again for visiting our blog and/or
viewing my movie presentation about GDI. I can tell you're serious about making
more money because you took the time out of your day to fill out the form on my
web site and view my movie, so over the next several days - I'm going to send
you some information on some things to look for when choosing a home business.
There are a
lot of good ones out there these days, but you really have to sift through A
LOT of bad ones to find them. I really believe the Global Domains International
business is the best there is, and I'll show you why I believe that.
TRUE Financial Security
When
choosing a business, one of the most important things you need to make sure is
that it can offer you TRUE financial security. That means the business has to
be here to stay, and it must have a compensation plan that is powerful enough
to put new reps into the ...

Believe While Others...

BELIEVE WHILE OTHERS ...by William Arthur Ward
Believe while others are doubting. Plan while others are playing. Study while others are sleeping. Decide while others are delaying. Prepare while others are daydreaming. Begin while others are procrastinating. Work while others are wishing. Save while others are wasting. Listen while others are talking. Smile while others are frowning. Commend while others are criticizing. Persist while others are quitting.

The Razor's Edge
2007-05-28 05:00:00
Motivational Monday
The Razor's Edgeby Bob Proctor
Vince Lombardi, former football coach of the Green Bay Packers football team, described the Razor's Edge concept in football very well when he said, "most games are won or lost in the last two minutes of the first and second half." But what Lombardi is best remembered for - with respect to football's Razor's Edge - is the "Second Effort" concept, which he introduced for the edification of his players. In a nutshell, the "Second Effort" concept simply meant, that when a player was initially stopped by the opposing team, he would always surge forward a second time, with the added thrust of a "Second Effort."
Now, just consider the tremendous difference you could create in your own life if you were to adopt a similar mental attitude. For example, if you are a person who is working in sales and currently selling only three units a week, what would the consequences be for you if you were to dec ...
