2007-08-18 05:00:00
Emergency Funds Whether in business or in your personal life, having emergency funds is crucial if you want to ensure your financial health. You will be able to use this emergency fund in case an unforeseen event happen so it will ensure that you will still remain financially stable if and when these kinds of events do happen. In your personal life, the emergency fund can be used if you suddenly need to pay a huge amount of medical bills or if your car suddenly needs to be repaired. You might sometimes think that the emergency fund is not necessary because you will be able to loan from credit institutions anyway when the need arises. However, this is usually not the case since these institutions will be hesitant to lend you money if you seem to be having financial difficulty. In addition, the emergency fund will also prevent debts and interest rates from piling up so you can enjoy a stress-free life. Meanwhile, in business, the emergency fund is used to fund different business object ...
Transition Day
2007-08-17 11:40:52
Today is a transition day. A friend of mine has finished building a computer for me. It will be much faster and have a lot more storage. It will be here this afternoon. This has been one of the best weeks in my home business in so many ways. God is blessing us and bringing people in who will be pivotal in the building of the business. If I wrote about how this is actually happening, you would stop reading this blog and write me off as a religious fanatic.  But I believe God still moves and that He is active in the lives as well as the affairs of His people. Normally I only preach on Sundays, but there you go.......:-) Anyway, the posts are all lined up for the next few days. I should be fully functional again by Tuesday.<:))))><< ...

2007-08-16 05:00:00
Practical Tips on Starting your Own Home-Based Business Deciding to put-up your own business may be the best decisions you can ever make in your life. This is because having your own business will provide you with the convenience and flexibility that you cannot enjoy when you are a regular employee. But before you take the plunge and decide to set-up your own business, you must realize that this endeavor is not that simple so it is recommended that you start small at first but think big at the same time. A lot of businessmen actually started out on their own backyard, that’s right, they started out on their own homes. Here are practical tips that will enable you to start your home business right: 1. Separate your personal space and your working space- just like in your regular job; it is important to set aside a space that will enable you to work properly without any distraction. Setting aside your own working space will also allow you to concentrate on the task at hand so you can ...
Area 1 - Learning and Improvement
2007-08-15 05:00:00
In yesterday's post I laid out 7 areas of focus for my business. I want to fill in a little detail for each of areas over the remainder of this week and into next week. In order to stay in any business, you must continuously get better. We must strive to be better today than yesterday. Some people call this continuous improvement. This is good. It is necessary to develop. I must improve in many areas: Planning Time management Sales Marketing I could use daily improvement in each of these areas for the remainder of my life. It is also necessary to keep abreast of what is going on within the industry. New trends must be explored. It requires time and time management. For me, the main focus of this area is to be the best I can be. To plan well, to execute the plans, to analyze the results, and to keep on getting better in every way. It is an unswerving commitment to excellence. Pretty simple stuff.......<:))))><< ...
A Systematic Approach
2007-08-14 05:00:00
Have been giving a lot of thought to my 2 favorite questions: What am I trying to do? How am I trying to do it? And that has had me thinking.......:-) What I am trying to do is create financial independence by building a large organization of people who are trying to do the same and empowering them in that quest. This is how I am trying to do that: Continuous learning and improvement. Internet marketing. Affiliate programs. Phone calling. Downline training and communication. Auto responders and leads. The blog as my primary web site. I am still trying to tweak the components and the order. But, in the next few days I will post on what I am doing in each area. Your thoughts and opinions are welcome. Thanks!<:))))><< ...

No Regrets At the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris, the sport of canoe racing was added to the list of international competitions. The favorite team in the four-man canoe race was the United States team. One member of that team was a young man by the name of Bill Havens. As the time for the Olympics neared, it became clear that Bill's wife would give birth to their first child about the time that the U.S. team would be competing in the Paris games. In 1924 there were no jet airliners from Paris to the United States, only slow ocean going ships. And so Bill found himself in a dilemma. Should he go to Paris and risk not being at his wife's side when their baby was born? Or should he withdraw from the team and remain with his family? Bill's wife insisted that he go to Paris. After all, competing in the Olympics was the culmination of a life long dream. But Bill felt conflicted and, after much soul searching, decided to withdraw from the competition and remain home, where he could support ...

2007-08-10 05:00:00
What Your College Professor Didn't Tell You About Running A Business There are many things that you probably aren't aware of that you are going to have to know as you embark on the process of running your own business. First of all, remember that your college professors probably gave you lots of good advice when it comes to running your business, and there is probably a lot that they told you about how to do things and when to do things. However, you know that there are many things that you weren't told, and some of these things are very important. It's Hard! You probably weren't told this, but running your own business is hard. Email Marketing: What Good Does It Do?
2007-08-09 05:00:00
Email Marketing: What Good Does It Do? In many cases batch email marketing can be waste of time any money, especially if you are sending emails to people who have not agreed to accept emails from you. In that case it could be considered spam and lead to being booted off your internet service provider. It can also create animosity with your subscribers if they receive a constant flow of emails from you that appear to be advertising only, with no benefit to them. Email marketing can be an integral part of your marketing plan and if done right can bring in tons of business. If done wrong it will bring in tons of complaints. Consider when signing up for information online that you are agreeing to accept emails from that company as well as third party companies. One day you open your mailbox and have hundreds of email for items or websites that you have no interest in visiting. You will have to go through each one to stop receiving mail from them and even placing their address in a spam f ...

Making money online isn't as easy as turning on a computer
2007-08-08 05:00:00
Making money online isn't as easy as turning on a computer Some people would like to tell you that making money online is as easy as turning on your computer. They might not say it like that, but they'll tell you something like "This is the only program you will never need." Or, "We'll give you everything you need to make money at home." They never tell you up front how much time it's going to take, how much money or how much knowledge. These things are all items you need to know before you start to try making money online. It's not to say that programs that make these types of claims aren't good or even great, but you should know what you're getting into. The first thing you should understand about making money online is that it's never going to make you rich overnight. It can make you rich, and you can make money overnight, but the odds of you getting rich overnight are about equal to you getting sent to prison for fraud, em ...
How to Write Autoresponders that Sell
2007-08-07 05:00:00
How to Write Autoresponders that Sell The key to writing effective autoresponders is to have a clear objective from the beginning. Since autoresponders are being sent to those who are interested in your goods and services, chances are they have already visited your site or have made a purchase in the past. Autoresponders are a way to earn repeat business or to sell a new product. They should not be long and they should have a point that is easy to understand. While many people use autoresponders as a way to reach a large number of people without having to send each person on their mailing list a personal message, you should keep in mind that automated messages do not sell products. Even though your message will be read by thousands of people, making each of them feel special is the goal. Those who receive your message should feel like it was to them from you personally. When writing your message, use a conversational tone. Always include your full name, your company name, and URL so ...

It Is Up To You by Jim Rohn One of the first things successful people realize is the old adage, "if it is to be, it is up to me." This doesn't mean that you do it all alone. It simply means that you take responsibility for your life and your career. Too many people today look at opportunity and figure it is up to someone else to make sure they get it. They look at financial security and hope that the government will make sure they live safely in retirement or in case of disability. They wait and wait, figuring that it is up to someone else. And then the wait is over, and it is too late to do anything. Their life is over and they are filled with regret. This isn't true for you however. You know that you must take responsibility for your life. It is up to you. The fact is that nobody else is going to do it for you, you must do  it yourself. Now, some people may say, "Jim, that's a lot of responsibility." Friends, that is the best news you can ever hear. Y ...
