Your Greatest Resourses

Your
Greatest Resources
Chris
Widener
When people
think about pursuing something, they usually first take a look at their
resources to determine whether or not they can do it. That is a wise thing to
do.
But where
most people fail in this process is when they look at their resources to
determine whether or not they can do it, they are usually taking stock of the
wrong resources.
Most people
immediately look at money. ?How much money do I have?? they ask. Sure, we need
to know how much money we have, but money is not the greatest resource. In
fact, there are a few other resources that are all more important, and
certainly more impacting, than money.
Take a look
through the following and see how you do. If you have money, but don?t have
these, you will not go far. If you have these but lack in the oney department,
you can still pursue and achieve your dreams.
1. Desire. Everything that comes from life
comes from wanting it. Really wanting it. Do you have desire in you fo ...

Silly Saturday 03.24.07
2007-03-24 11:01:53
After a caller told the Humane
Society in Battle Creek, Michigan, about two ducks trapped by the ice
on a pond, shelter manager Mike Pearson rushed right over.
He inched his way out a considerable
distance and, as onlookers stood by, gently gathered up the ducks and made his
way back to safety.
Both of the wooden decoys were
expected to survive.:-)<:))))><<

One Hour Is All It Takes
2007-03-21 05:00:00
One Hour Makes All the DifferenceBy: Brian Tracy
You've gone as far as you can with what you now know. Any progress you make from this moment onward will require that you learn and practice something new.
Commit to Lifelong LearningOne quality of leaders and high achievers in every area seems to be a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development. They look upon themselves as self-made people, as "works in progress." They never become complacent or satisfied. They are always striving toward ever greater heights of knowledge and understanding.
Get to the Top in Five YearsEarl Nightingale said many years ago that one hour per day of study in your chosen field was all it takes. One hour per day of study will put you at the top of your field within three years. Within five years you'll be a national authority. In seven years, you can be one of the best people in the world at what you do.

Concentration
2007-03-20 14:36:56
?The first law of success is concentration - to bend all the energies
to one point, and to go directly to that point, looking neither to the right or
to the left.? --William Mathews
The more thought you invest in planning and setting priorities before you
begin, the more important things you will do and the faster you will get them
done once you get started.
The more important and valuable the task is to you, the more you will be
motivated to overcome procrastination and launch yourself into the job.
It is a
matter of intense focus. If I can do it, anyone can?

A Journey
2007-03-19 13:34:08
So often I view life and business as a destination or even an arrival (some momentous breakthrough). It is not either. This is a journey and success can be measured in the day by day improvements. This waiting for the earth-shaking breakthrough is too wearisome. I am content with being a little better today the yesterday and making a habit of daily and continuous improvement.

Funny Friday 03.16.07
2007-03-16 05:00:00
"Need a Pen?"
A patient at the
dental office where I was a receptionist stopped by my desk to pay her bill.
She began rummaging through her purse, as so many patients did when they had a
check to write.
"Do you need a pen?" I asked, offering her the use
of mine.
"Yes, thank you," she replied. She
took it, put it in her handbag and proceeded to pay in cash.

Friday Funny 03.16.07
2007-03-16 05:00:00
The Pope is visiting
Washington, D.C., and President Bush takes him out for an afternoon on the
Potomac, cruising on the Presidential yacht, the Sequoia. They're admiring the
sights when, all of a sudden, the Pope's hat (zucchetto) blows off his head and
out into the water.
Secret Service guys start to launch a boat, but President Bush waves them off,
saying, "Wait, wait. I'll take care of this. Don't worry."
Bush then steps off the yacht onto the surface of the water and walks out to
the Holy Father's little hat, bends over, picks it up, and then walks back to
the yacht and climbs
aboard. He hands the hat to the Pope amid stunned silence.
The next morning, the headlines in the New York Times, Boston Globe, Atlanta
Constitution, Washington Post, Boston Herald, Buffalo News, Houston Chronicle,
Milwaukee Sentinel-Journal, Minneapolis Tribune, Denver Post, Albuquerque
Journal, Los Angeles Times, and San Francisco Chronicle all proclaim:
"Bush Can't Swim!"
